The 2023 Formula One World Championship, the 74th season of the championship, witnessed Max Verstappen securing his third consecutive World Drivers’ Championship with Red Bull Racing-Honda RBPT. Verstappen’s dominant performance throughout the season included a record-breaking 19 wins out of 22 Grands Prix, and he finished on the podium 21 times, another record for most podiums in a season. Red Bull Racing achieved their sixth Constructors’ Championship, with Sergio Pérez finishing second in the Drivers’ Championship, marking the team’s first ever 1–2 finish in this category. Mercedes secured the second place in the Constructors’ Championship, followed by Ferrari in third.
The 2023 season was characterized by several significant changes and events. Honda returned as a named engine supplier to Red Bull Racing and AlphaTauri, while the driver lineup saw notable changes, including the debut of Oscar Piastri with McLaren, Nyck de Vries with AlphaTauri, and Logan Sargeant with Williams. The season’s calendar featured twenty-two Grands Prix, including the return of the Qatar Grand Prix and the debut of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, bringing Formula One back to the Las Vegas Strip for the first time since 1982.
